Basquiat and Vik Muniz at the High Museum of Art
“It is about the process getting there, not the end result.” says Vik Muniz at the High Museum of Art while at a Media Premier of his exhibit. I believe not every artist would say that, do you? I was privileged to be able to take part in this premiere of two special artists, Basquiat and Vik Muniz at the High Museum of Art. Vik Muniz This artist that was born in Sa’o Paulo, Brazil wants his art to be intelligent and accessible to everyone and once you get a good look at his pieces you will see why. This renowned artist works with various unconventional materials, such as chocolate,…

He Named Me Malala
“There is a time to chose to stand up or be silent!!” This is a quote from a very brave young lady who chose to not be silent named Malala. He named me Malala is a world television premier that is going to be on National Geographic Channel February 29th, at 8 pm. Standing up is what Malala chose to do which actually got her shot by her enemies the Taliban because they feel that girls cannot/should not go to school. I do not know how it feels to live in a country that have people as citizens that feel that way. Thank God that some things have changed in…

Slimfast Goodies
It is officially 9 days already from the 3rd month of the New Year and a lot of great things have happened already and I am still believing and Expecting them to come. As part of the New Year’s new beginnings that most of us take part in, I had received from Influenster. This voxbox was from Slimfast and it included several great products that I had a different times within the past few weeks. One of the Slimfast Goodies that was included was an Advanced Nutrition Vanilla Cream Shake that had 20g of high protein and no aftertaste which makes this my #1 protein shake so far. I have…

Easy Spicy Shrimp Recipe
Hey all. Romance has been in the air and is still in the air. Valentine’s Day or Weekend is just another special time to show the one or ones you love how much you appreciate them. For some it involved some expensive dinner out followed by a proposal (so romantic) or something just as romantic, but in the house and a lot less money. We had the best of both worlds, Saturday we spent the evening out with some cool couples but Sunday we decided that it would just be the two of us. I just thought that I would share with you an Easy Spicy Shrimp Recipe that we…

Pre-Valentine’s Day Fun
Nothing red here except for my nails, baby. Red is the standard color for lovers on Valentine’s Day or for anyone going out anytime during that entire weekend. We were out in it right along with everyone else having, Pre-Valentine’s Day Fun. After much back and forth planning it was decided that we would get suited and booted (dressed up) for the afternoon/evening. We went to see Alvin dance at the Fox Theatre in Downtown Atlanta for an exciting family matinee performance. We could not take pictures so therefore I did not include any, but there were beautiful, respect outfits, nothing too revealing on either the males or females. There…

Freebies, Samples and Amazon Reviews February 2016
It’s been a long time, since I brought you a Freebies, Samples and Amazon Reviews post and quite frankly with the business of everyday life I almost forgot this time. I know hubby does not like packages left in the front room and I do not blame him, but as long I leave the packages near the door I will not forget about them:). That just helps justify the need for an organized small mess, not a big one, but a small square of mess. I hope that I am not alone on this, but it is so easy once you put things up to forget about them. I am…

You got a Charger?
Just about everywhere I go there is always someone asking me or asking someone around me, ” You Got a Charger?” A lot of us use our phones for everything: calls, texts, surfing the net, playing games and taking pics/videos so it is no wonder people are asking each other for a charger. I actually almost found myself needing to ask someone about using their charger. In the heat of the moment, I was kinda working as a blogger and trying to attend and enjoy a Women’s Conference, ⇠that I had accidentally put out of my head that I had a portable charger with me. I had used one…

Women of Faith: Amazing Joyful Journey Movie
I am not sure about you, but I am a woman who enjoys going to different women’s events. There was an event that because I enjoyed it the 1st time it was in my state that I willingly traveled to the next state over to take part in the event the next year. This is the 1st year that I have actually attended a Christian Women’s Conference and I enjoyed myself. In my past, I have heard of the Women of Faith Conference but I have never gone to one and then recently I heard of Women of Faith: An Amazing Joyful Journey Movie. I have heard that there are…

God is in Everything Women’s Conference
God is in Everything Women’s Conference was held January 30, 2016 at Family of God Church in Tucker Georgia and it was held here before, but this is my first one but certainly not the last. You guys missed it. A wonderful and refreshing women’s conference right here in Metro Atlanta and on top of it it was free. That’s right free!! Now we all know that does not happen often, but it was hosted by Team Ni-Shay Ministries. As soon as I walked in I noticed a couple of great vendors there selling their products of course, from black soap, oils, natural hair care products and jewelry. It was…
