Give to Others – World Vision Review and Giveaway

World Vision Contest

The reason for this holiday season is love and to be able to show love to others and one way we all manage to show love is by giving gifts.

How about this year we give gifts that can help others here in the United States and abroad? With a selection from World Vision’s Gift Catalog, the receiver will be happy as well as the ones in need that are being helped by your gift.

There are lots of people in poverty and are suffering injustices around the world and this is one way of helping others that will make an impact.

There are some beautiful pieces made by beautiful people from all around the world. For example, the sample that I received were made from people in India and Africa, see below what I received:

World-Vision-USAThere are some awesome pieces within the World Vision’s Gift Catalog, which includes a Hope bracelet that Patricia Heaton, partnered with World Vision to create. I like them all and they are of high quality and worth every penny. I think the bag and the bracelet are my favorite:)

This is a beautiful post! Thank you for thinking of those less fortunate at this time of year. Those all look like fantastic gifts, and I appreciate that they are ethically minded 🙂

Thanks for sharing this wonderful stuff. Would love to gift the less fortunate this Christmas. I’ll check out their site.

What a great cause! Continue your good work. We are planning to give love to others by giving books to children.

  • Helene

    I have heard of them…
The gifts do look and sounds like high quality! It’s hard to find these kinds of things at times when you want to buy them.

I always make sure to give to charity. I usually give to the Humane Society and local food banks.

  • Nancy

Donating at Christmas is definitely something I think many more people should consider. I often do it, and I will hopefully continue for as long as possible. Everyone deserves a nice Christmas 🙂

Oh my gracious! I’m actually being sponsoring a child through World Vision for about 7 years now. It’s actually very rewarding for me to write and connect with a child. I highly recommend it. Love your post!!! Double thumbs up!

When I had a bit more extra money, I actually gave to World Vision. I love that they give in wayts that make lives fair and sustainable. Now I in smaller ways. Throughout the holiday season, I add the pre-bagged groceries each shopping trip to benefit our local food pantry–in our neighborhood, that is an important need.

I donated several times to my local soup kitchen (St. Francis of Assisi) and I donate to the Salvation Army often.

  • Carol Cassara

A gift with a purpose, this is perfect for the season. It’s definitely going to help people out. It would be nice to be able to support this initiative.

  • Rachel

What a wonderful idea, its so good to support charities like this, and great competition. Thank you for the opportunity, I’m entering asap!

  • Anne

I love that idea! I saw a lot of great Christmas ideas this year, pushing the “doing something good” idea behind a present. I love that movement and would be super happy to see more of those. Thanks for sharing!

What a lovely gift box and I like that it helps to give to others. There is so much poverty in the world so it is important that we all try and do our bit x

  • Sarmistha Goswami

I think you are doing a wonderful job. I too try to do my bit whenever I get an opportunity. I give away a lot of my old clothes in good condition) to an orphanage near my house and I make regular donations to animal charity. It’s the best feeling to be able to selflessly help anyone in need!

  • Razena

This looks like a very forward thinking initiative that helps struggling communities improve their lives with the incomes they gain from the items that they make. The jewelry is exquisite.

  • james

  • Akamatra

What a nice initiative. Give to those in need while gifting your friends. Love this!

  • Mary Gardner

Yes we give to the Salvation Army and to our local food bank a few times throughout the year. And yes we still do that.

  • Jessica Whitehouse

I don’t usually donate to a charity… Instead, I do what I can personally, by inviting neighbors for dinner; adopting kids from the Angel Tree; and doing favors for those I know personally.

  • Sam

Yes I have actually. I help with the neighbor hood stray dogs. I give a helping hand every year at the local soup kitchen. Its only been 4 years but I am trying. I never feel like I do enough. Yet its hard to do all that I want. I always donate my clothes. I am single mom and even my sons clothes go to charity. I want to make a difference. And some people dont understand how far just a couple bags of clothes will go. Thanks for this chance

  • Jenny Ham

I donate items to help people who are homeless or might be having a rough time.

  • Brandi H

I’ve never heard of the World Vision Gift Catalog before. I really love when there’s a story behind my purchase. It gives it more meaning.
