Atlanta Southeastern Women’s Expo
Free makeovers, massages, raffled cruises and free seminars? Who would pass that up? Not this girl. There was a women’s expo in Atlanta, called Atlanta Southeastern Women’s Expo on the 7th and 8th of November and I most certainly attended. It was no cost for most people, because the wonderful host provided VIP free admission tickets online on the website for free for quite some time. The only thing I found is that I do not think that it was that publicized because I only heard of the event going on once throughout the entire 2 weeks I knew about it and I did not see that many women there.…

IGO Life-Chain: Nationwide Pro-life Event
I have been challenged to write this piece and it has been almost as if because of the message that the enemy of my soul would preferred that I not write it, but thank God He is working in me and I feel released to write it. Pro-life and Pro-choice issues have been in the media pretty strong from organizations who support choice and from those who support life. Honestly, in my past, I have been on the side of choice, but thank God He has changed my heart about this issue. It is an issue that is very close to the heart of God and in my past when…

Feed the Homeless with GPFW and MUST Ministries
If you are a service oriented individual and have a heart for others, there is a worthwhile community event taking place Monday, September 7, 2015 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Marietta location of MUST Ministries. My husband and I were asked by a dear brother from our church last year if we wanted to take part in feeding the homeless event and we jumped on it. We prepared a dish and served in whatever capacity was needed that day. It was indeed rewarding just to see the smiles on the faces of some individuals and families who would not have had a Christmas meal that day. We…

Juneteenth Celebration
If you are like me and enjoys celebrating the achievements and dreams of your family and friends then you would understand us (hubby and I) saying yes to a friends request to attend an event in which he was performing. We did not have any idea what we were walking into, but knew that it was outside, it is not raining and it was Father’s Day Weekend and what my hubby wants he gets, so we went. Off to Marietta Square and low and behold there is a crowd of people celebrating, “Juneteenth”. I had no idea what it was, but we found our friends/family and sat with them. I…
