After a wonderful night before of partying like a rockstar for my birthday, I woke up early in anticipation of attending the GFAF Expo in Atlanta GA May 20 and May 21, 2017 in which I received a 2 day pass for free in exchange for writing a post and promoting the event.
As a blogger, I was part of the group that had a sponsored breakfast all gluten free from BFree which was great and filled with being able to talk to the representatives one on one before the large crowds of guests started coming. Lots of pictures and laughs were had between us bloggers.
If you are unsure about becoming gluten free, this is the perfect event to attend because it gives you the chance to try samples, talk to brands about their products and take home coupons.
This expo contains workshops from wonderful speakers with knowledge about gluten free living including all areas of your life. You would be surprised to find out that even some of your health and beauty products have gluten in them and I learned it from attending one of this great expos.
Check out Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo for more information on the next expo coming to a city near you.

In the chaotic hustle and bustle of a Wall Street restaurant, Chef George gets a fresh start when he takes over this melting-pot-of-a-kitchen. Two rowdy Guatemalan line cooks, a wet-behind-the-ears busboy, and a reserved African dishwasher serve up drama nightly. But the heat really turns up when immigration sneaks in, looking for a wanted man.
This is one of Horizon Theatre’s best plays and I say that because it was thought provoking while still being pretty funny. Now there was some spicy language that may make some cringe, but sometimes some words get the point across a lot better than others:)
Like all of us, there are people that we know that do things and we wonder why and just think l would not do it. One of the best aspects of the play is that it made me think about other’s actions and how not to be too quick to judge and how being open about your past is sometimes a difficult thing to share with others.
Great actors, direction, set design and production. Horizon Theatre never seizes to amaze me with the set design and this one looks like a real restaurant.
How to Use a Knife is still showing at the Horizon Theatre until June 25 in Little Five Points/Inman Park area. (1083 Austin Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30307, corner of Euclid and Austin Avenues). Performances on Saturday and Sunday are still available.
Tickets start as low as $25 (plus sales tax) and are on sale now. Prices change based on availability and demand, so buy early for the best prices! Three play subscriptions also available. Internet convenience fee added to all online orders. No refunds, exchanges, or late seating. Tickets and information are available at 404.584.7450 or www.horizontheatre.com.

Lights dim with candles flickering, the soothing sounds of a waterfall in the background, my and my hubby started to prepare to enjoy what we thought was going to be a relaxing couple’s massage at the Renova Spa in one of the cutest hotels in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Riu Reggae.
After a 1st night of relaxing, eating and drinking with family and friends, we decided to go for a couple’s massage at 8:00 am the next morning and we were excited, very excited and it started off well..
We were greeted by the smiling therapist and told to remove our clothing down to the undies and on the website, you can if you want, be naked because no one was going to see anything more than the top part of your buttocks so we stripped got under the towels provided and then began the…….
They covered our eyes and apparently part of this massage included a facial and our eyes were covered so they thought the entire massage. The massage proceeded with no issues, and as mentioned initially our eyes were covered, but mine were not completely covered and I noticed while on our backs they the two therapists whispered to each other (Natasha to Shannique). The music started skipping and Natasha fixed the music and Shannique had left the room for some reason. We continued on and within 10 minutes time, I noticed that Natasha (while they both were massaging our right legs), lifted his towel, looked over at Shannique showing her his private parts as well. I immediately raised up and said, “What was that?!!”
They both looked at me, as to say what are you talking about and said nothing, just looked at me funny and my husband, not realizing what had happened said, “What is wrong?” and I said, “We will just finish.” and we turned on our backs shortly thereafter. I wanted to try and finish the massage knowing that I was upset, thinking that maybe I imagined it, but I did not drink, I was not high or anything. I was very much so alert. I had to remember that I was not in America, where things would have ended differently. Seriously, it would have been ugly.
We got dressed and I explained to hubby what I saw and we hurried and put on our clothes so that we can speak with the manager. We filled out the comment forms (they switched them up on us come to find out after some investigation that I did on Facebook). Natasha Dawkins gave me her form and Shannique Milling gave him my form. I cannot believe they even asked for a comment knowing what they have done.
Before we filled out anything, I told him to take a picture so I can have their names for later when I report them. He told the therapists that he was violated and I said, “Your coworker exposed him to you.” Shannique said, “Your eyes were covered.” I said, “No they were not, I saw her lift up his towel and show you his private parts.” Shannique said, “I am very professional and have been doing this over 6 years.” Natasha Dawkins (the most disrespectful unprofessional so-called therapist) said nothing, but stood there looking like what are you talking about. I did not dispute it any longer knowing that there were lying. We left and Shannique opened the door for us and gave us the complimentary wine that everyone gets after receiving services from Renova Spa.
We immediately went to the hotel front desk and was told from Jhamelle (supervisor on duty for Riu Reggae hotel) that he would get in contact with Chevelle B., a supervisor from the Riu Montego Bay location which was next door. Jhamelle seemed apologetic and was in shock. He contacted Chevelle and we were told that at 12:30 pm, June 11th, that Chevelle would be over but apparently she could not leave and we finally spoke with her at 2:00 pm.
To date, we were told by LaToya M., manager from both locations that she was sorry and reimbursed us but we did not hear anything else other than the two were suspended for the day but that was all. Needless to say, this ruined the rest of my trip because left and right I would think about it and it would hurt me and tears would come to my eyes.
They need to be fired and have their licenses revoked. Please help share this with others.
Have you or your mate ever had a Couple’s Massage From Hell?
On a beautiful day in Atlanta, I was given the opportunity to attend a media night preview for a wonderful restaurant opening, Varuni Napoli in Krogs Street Market thanks to Culinary Local. My guest and I were not paid, but were able to try various menu items for free in exchange for our honest and unbiased reviews.
Most of my life I have wanted to go to Italy and eat my way around the area, but due to it being so expensive, we will have to save up a little more before I can get there. In the meantime, I jumped at the chance to try an Italian pizzeria and it was in an area of Atlanta that I had never been and we had a ball.
Guests were given a special event menu to select the items they wanted to try and we noticed that everyone from the cashier, servers, bartenders, pizza maker station and the owner, were very inviting and nice. Just their attitude made me want to come back before I even tried the food.
Fresh ingredients, some of which were/are from Atlanta suppliers and some flown in from Italy. I am already spoiled and I know that any authentic Italian restaurant that I try from this point on, better taste just as good or I will not go back:) The crust: 4 simple ingredients and 1 of which is from Italy. Awesome restaurant and atmosphere.
Next time you are looking for an authentic Italian pizzeria, make sure to check out Varuni Napoli in the Krog Street Market and let me know I may just meet you there.
There are 2 locations in Metro Atlanta and to find out more information about the Owner, restaurant or ingredients, click here: https://www.varuni.us/.

A great new way to help learn Scripture as well as a great talking piece and way to share your faith with others is by wearing Scripture Tattoos. I was given an opportunity to receive a Verse Tattoo and Designer Pack (with several) free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
I do not have any tattoos (permanent ones) at the moment, and never really considered any until now. I would see others with all types of things that are important to them on themselves and some not so important, but I thought that was worth putting on my body even though it is temporary.
Faith not fear is the one I chose to best describe my life right now. There are a lot of things going on good and bad that I just have to chose to have faith and not fear.
I love that this was easy to apply and the instructions were 100% accurate. Place the tattoo face down on clean skin (no lotion), remove the protective layer, place a moist cloth on top of it for about 30 seconds, press down and then remove. Voila!!!
If you do not want to take your chances with the giveaway, use my coupon code (god4bandme) and obtain 20% off your order.
Have you ever tried a temporary tattoo? What was it?

Exercise!!! Who needs some stinking exercise? Well we all need exercise, so there is no sense of running from it. The picture below is after I tackled Kennesaw Mountain and arrived back home safe and sound. Trust me, I was not smiling much while I was tackling the mountain and I may call you a bit strange if you do:)
As I mentioned above, I have received this special cap and I do mean special because it was able to successfully do something no other cap/hat has been able to do and that is be worn with my hair in it’s natural state. I have 4b naturally curly hair that just will not fit in a cap/hat no way no how until now.
Bad hairday? Throw a Spony on it! With the patent-pending Convertible Women’s Ballcap, you can wear it closed like a regular ballcap or open up the back to flaunt that updo. See how it works here: Spony In Action
Elevate your spring and summer style with a cap designed for comfort and convenience! Whatever the weather, the Spony Ballcap has got your back. If it gets warm, open up the back of the cap for ventilation or if there’s a chance of showers, close up the back for protection.
Inspired by an episode of Oprah, Spony was born from a dream to reinvent everyone’s favorite cap. After several variations, the original Spony was created. While first brought to the market internationally, Spony’s determination to be “Made in the USA” finally paid off in January of this year when they received their first American made product. Designed with the modern woman in mind, the comfort of the Spony makes it easy to convert your cap for any occasion!
Look at all that hair and it is holding. My hair did not stretch the cap at all or damage it or anything. All of my hair fit perfectly in the cap and it was comfortable. You do have to watch the velcro but that is not unique in hats that have velcro.
Strongly, I would say that Spony is the Perfect Baseball Cap for My Ponytails and it will be for yours too.
(This is a sponsored post. I will receive a gift card to help cover the cost of the app, however my review is unbiased and honest).
About ATG Today App:
A devotional journal to help you enjoy your walk with God, with thanksgiving from your heart, everyday touches and prayers. Inspiration for 8 minutes with God at the start of your day, learning to hear His voice, memorize scripture, pray and journal. Lots of great ideas to build your faith, share scripture, encourage others and strengthen family devotions.
My view point:
I think that the app is great. From day one I received a scripture that I have read in the past, but had not remembered it and it did help me that day. It does not require a lot of time to be invested, only 8 minutes and those 8 minutes add up. You can do whatever it is you are doing and still listen. There is a cool portion that will help with reflection that asks you what you would like to thank the Lord for today, what you believe He is speaking to you about today and I pray today that you will….
Can you use a boost of Inspiration? Have you tried ATG Today? Do you think you will?
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This book is perfect for Mother’s Day and beyond. Mothers are connected to their children and reading to them also brings them closer. God’s love is shown through a mother’s love for her children.
This cute, quick read is beautifully illustrated and it goes along and shares the day by day adventure of a mommy bunny and her little bunny and infuses God all through it. Showing how He loves us and I believe the best part in the book is when they pray they always say, “You’re so good, God-thank You!” At such an early age it teaches the little ones that God is an important part and that He loves them.
I am looking forward to when I can read to my little ones and this is a great book to have in my collection.
