Black Girl Vitamins Celebrated Black History Month
In celebration of Black History Month, Black Girl Vitamins (BGV), the pioneering wellness brand dedicated to Black women’s health that has helped over 200,000 Black women in the US, introduced “Sisterhood in Self-Care” as the theme for their 2025 Black History Month initiatives. This year’s theme aimed to shift the narrative away from the “superwoman” archetype, encouraging Black women to prioritize self-care and mutual support through shared wellness practices. Part of my/our challenge in this eating better game is to make sure that there is some form of greenery in at least one of our daily meals, whether it is a green apple or two, romaine lettuce instead of iceburg, spinach or greens.
