Recap Atlanta Food and Wine Festival 2018 #afwf18
I have received a free ticket to attend the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival, #afwf18, #knowthesouth in exchange for my honest and unbiased review and promotion of the event. #ad Whether you are a foodie, beer, wine or spirits connoisseur, you would have wanted to be at this spectacular event. Everyone attending the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival  were greeted by this wonderful sign in the Loews Hotel in Downtown Atlanta and the moment we walked up I got a tad bit excited. You see last year, I attended by my lonesome, but after coming home and telling hubby about it, he wanted to come. I guess he forgot of conversation and…

Freaky Friday Fun At Horizon Theatre
A comedic bunch of laughs that everyone in the family will enjoy. The funniest thing to me like in the movie, is seeing the mother and daughter act like each other and it is so exaggerated, but at the same time it seems like there is no other way for either of them to act. They play each other so well that the mother could be the daughter and the daughter the mother. All of the songs are catchy and it made me want to be a teenager again. I totally wanted to be on stage when they were doing the slow motion thing and oh so funny was when…

The Ballad of Klook and Vinette – Horizon Theatre
2017 Horizon Theatre had a great year of plays and 2018 will be no different. I laughed, cried and was in some intense thought leaving many of the plays. Great writers, production, set design and everything in between. See below how to get your season tickets. Coming this week to the Horizon Theatre, Klook is a drifter who’s tired of drifting. Vinette is on the run but she doesn’t know what’s chasing her. Together, they make a tentative stab at love and reach for hope until the past catches up to the future and smacks it in the face. Tough, tender, funny, poignant, The Ballad of Klook and Vinette will…

Another hit with audiences, The Santaland Diaries takes place during…

How to Use A Knife – Ends Soon
How to Use A Knife – Ends Soon In the chaotic hustle and bustle of a Wall Street restaurant, Chef George gets a fresh start when he takes over this melting-pot-of-a-kitchen. Two rowdy Guatemalan line cooks, a wet-behind-the-ears busboy, and a reserved African dishwasher serve up drama nightly. But the heat really turns up when immigration sneaks in, looking for a wanted man. This is one of Horizon Theatre’s best plays and I say that because it was thought provoking while still being pretty funny. Now there was some spicy language that may make some cringe, but sometimes some words get the point across a lot better than others:) Like…

Inman Park in Atlanta is the Place to Be
This post is sponsored by Horizon Theatre, but all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. Hubby and I try to do something different every date night and this one was no different. We usually venture out somewhere and love doing it and Inman Park is one of our favorites areas of Atlanta to explore. I wanted to mention to you just in case you are thinking of stepping out to a different part of Atlanta, this is one place that should not be overlooked. Inman Park is smack dab in what I would call the artisty district. Many opportunities to sitesee with all of the unique homes and businesses…

Constellations: Horizon Theatre Atlanta
I was able to attend for the first time a Sneak Peek of a play that is going to be at the Horizon Theatre in Little 5 Points in Atlanta, Georgia. The play is going to be wonderful and below is a little snippet of what it is about, but what I was most interested in was the behind the scenes which is what the attendees received at the sneak peek. Seeing how all of the departments from music, set design, lighting, etc comes together to make something so spectacular once it is done.
