1462894986286[1]Like the cactus in the back of the picture on my desk that is drooping due to lack of water, we all need to be watered and watered by the Word of God in particular. I love it when I an able to learn more and more about Father God.

You know how we sometimes think that we know everything about God, but surely we do not and He planned it that way. He has traits that we as humans want to possess, but it is not in our nature to possess them, but because we sometimes have this God complex about ourselves we think we are supposed to have all of His and His alone traits.

For instance, sometimes we think that we are Self-Sufficient, but we are not. That trait only belongs to God. We exist because of God. He is the only One that does not need us.

Another example, Immutable (meaning sameness, reliable and never changing) and we tend to say in arguments, you always and you never well, honestly the only one can saw always and never is God. He is the only one that does not change. We do not always or never do anything all the time.

None-Like-Him

These 2 traits out of 10 are just the beginning of a journey (Bible study if you like) that Jen Wilkin takes you on in her new book, None Like Him. There are times we want to be like Him, but so sorry, we just our not.

Each chapter starts with a trait that Only He possesses and then she breaks it down to where you as a human stands as it relates to that trait of God. Each chapter then gives you verses for meditation, questions for reflection and gives you an opportunity to get it right so to speak if you have tried to operate in that trait with a prayer to the Lord.

I have truly learned some things and you will to and realize how great it is that He is Him and you are just you, a human in need of a Father God like Him.
