Kitchen Ethos Silicone Cooking Mats

Let me first start off by saying that I want to be a baker in my present life, but with the cooking pans and containers ending up being so hard to clean afterwards I usually pass on baking too much. I jumped at the chance when I saw the product and said to myself, “I guess I will be baking more often.” I placed the order for the mats and they came in a small box, so much so I did not think it was actually the mats, but it was. They were so thin and light that if it wasn’t for the labeling on the box I would have thought they were something else. The mats seem kinda sticky to me which was strange, but it they are made out of silicon and with that a different feel is what I am going to get.

I decided to something somewhat healthy, but a little sweet. I have a bad sweet tooth and did not want to waste calories on a cupcake that sucked, so I instead used some of the apples that were not being used. I cut them up and even though the directions say you do not have to use cooking spray and the only reason I did was because I wanted to make sure the cinnamon and artificial sweetener would stick to the apples.

After cooking the apples, I used an oven mitt to take the mat out of the oven. The mat was extremely warm, but not too hot that I had to use oven mitts. The apples did not stick to the mat nor were the applies burned on the bottom which was great and I thought that the cinnamon did stick a little, but it was very easy to remove, just good old soap and warm water.
