19th Annual World Natural Hair Show Recap
The 19th annual World Natural Hair Show was one of the hottest events in the Metro Atlanta Area last month. Fashion, entertainment, kidzone, informational sessions and hair products all around, who can resist. There were many new features that they implemented like the Men’s Den. 19th Annual World Natural Hair Show Recap The danger and allure of attending this event is the big time discounts you can receive by attending. The price to attend was very inexpensive and parking was less than $10.00 and I was so excited to attend as media that I paid for someone else’s parking:) The show opens with AnkaFo Drum Dance busting through the doors…

None Like Him | Review and Giveaway
Like the cactus in the back of the picture on my desk that is drooping due to lack of water, we all need to be watered and watered by the Word of God in particular. I love it when I an able to learn more and more about Father God. None Like Him | Review and Giveaway You know how we sometimes think that we know everything about God, but surely we do not and He planned it that way. He has traits that we as humans want to possess, but it is not in our nature to possess them, but because we sometimes have this God complex about ourselves…

Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo Recap #gfafexpo
A couple of weeks back I was priviledged to be a part of the Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo as an official blogger. See my Pre-post â‡. Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo Recap #gfafexpo Admittedly this is my 2nd time attending #gfafexpo, but this time it was great to be on the inside and talk with the companies that were present and learn more about their products. Challenge: with learning about…

Chicken Sausage Switch with Al Fresco
As most of you have heard there is a big push to switch from pork to chicken, particularly in the sausage category. I jumped upon that band wagon as well due to the fact that hubby and I are attempting to lose some weight before our anniversary this August. I chose the Roasted Red Pepper and Asiago, but just for the record they have 10 different flavors so feel free to pick and chose depending on the recipe you have in mind. I had to have something quick/fast to be able to whip up quickly during the middle of the week and thanks to the fact that the chicken sausage…

Earth Day Dinner with The Wing Cafe
Almost 2 weeks ago Friday it was Earth Day and I had the chance to celebrate it for the 1st time as an ambassador with CulinaryLocal, I was sent to The Wing Cafe to get my 6 course dinner and drink pairing on. Guests enjoyed a great 6 course meal and Sierra Nevada beers thanks to Ryan Bing (The Head), southern picnic style. Yes, I said beers, for with every meal there was a different beer pairing and we had a nice Fire Pit right in the middle of the concourse just outside of the restaurant to serenade us. Ryan gave us a brief history of the beer selections, the…

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #WholeBlends #CollectiveBias Can you say 70 plus degrees three days in a row!!! Where I am from we do not see that type of weather until June, but here in the Dirty South we get it anytime it wants to show up and this year it started in April. Time for fun in the sun, cute dresses and hot new hairstyles. During the winter months, my hair suffers a lot of breakage that is caused for the most part because in the winters there is not much moisture in the air and who…

Sparky Shuffle Cocktail with Four Roses Bourbon
Four Roses Bourbon asked me to come up with a drink to celebrate baseball season, and although I am late for opening day forgive me please:) Being from the “D” everybody who could went to the Detroit Tigers games. I heard about them every since I was a little girl and still to this day if there is a game on and the Tigers are playing no matter what team they are playing I am going to support them. Baseball was a game that I would watch the boys play on the playground and duck and sometimes run away when the ball would come my way. To see the players…
