I can see why these projects often get put on the back burner in favour of something more glamorous, or for a major reno like the roof or an addition. But as you say, when it’s needed, it’s needed. If there is a pest problem or the heating bills are very high, these are the projects that need to take priority.

Heating bills need to be looked at all the time b/c we sometimes just pay the bill and do not examine how we can save money on our bills.

Great ideas, you are right about the pest problem! Some areas are more prone than others to have those pesky creepers sneaking into our walls and causing a lot of trouble. I live in an apartment complex so we have very secure walls (they are brick), but we also need to make sure that we are using energy efficient tactics to also reduce the electric bills. It pays to invest a little more to save on the long run.
