The Hot Wing King Atlanta

I have received tickets to the performance in exchange my honest and unbiased opinion. #hotwingking #alliancetheatre

Made a person want some hot wings. That is what it did 🙂 Seriously one the best plays that I have seen in a while.

The Hot Wing King Atlanta made me think, laugh, sing and smile. You could not help but smile when seeing the smiles of the cast when they were trying to compose themselves in the scenes. After seeing the play, you wanted and wished that there was a real festival that you could go to and try those accidentally not what they were supposed to be wings.

There was so much going on in this play, that you had to pay attention to keep up. Some slang, some dancing, some real emotion, some sneaky stabs, and more. Certainly for the adults only and even if you do not agree with all of the subject matter, everyone can agree that it is a play that was filled with love and it will make you think.

Everything from the writer, set design, theatre and cast were 100!! No aspect was less than 100 and that is hard to say. Everyone around me were commenting on all of the things I have mentioned and agreed. This play had real life situations and it is for mature audiences.

About The Hot Wing King

It’s time for Memphis’s annual “Hot Wang Festival,” and Cordell knows hehas the wings that’ll make him king. Supported by his beau Dwayne and best friends who serve as his fry crew “The New Wing Order,” the group settles in for a fun night of pre-competition prep. But when a family emergency forces Dwayne’s troubled nephew into the mix, it quickly becomes a recipe for disaster. Suddenly, the first-place trophy isn’t the only thing that Cordell risks losing.
