Food Cooked with Love Zeal Modern Eatery

According to the Oxford Dictionary, one of the synonyms for zeal is love and that is what I tasted in every bite while dining at Zeal Modern Eatery in East Cobb.

Any time I get a chance to go to East Cobb in Marietta I jump on it and I am never disappointed. I was able to visit one of my favorite areas thanks to Culinary Local. Prior to today I had not heard of Zeal Modern Eatery and was kind of disappointed that I had not heard of it this eatery.

This was a special night of beer and bar bites pairings with the dynamic duo Zeal Modern Eatery and Gate City Beer.

1^st course:

20 Grand Cream Ale with Smoky Mahi Mahi Taco

2^nd course:

1864 IPA with Spicy Beef Tenderloin Monchow Soup

3^rd course:

Pitt Hopkins Pale Ale with East Coast Wahoo w/roasted corn, baby kale, andouille sausage, and shoestring potatoes

4^th course:

OTP IPA with Caribbean Jerk Barbeque Rib

5^th course:

Terminus Porter with Truffle Cheesecake Fritter

Like I mentioned before, I am not disappointed when I come to the East Cobb area and I certainly was not today either.

My vote for the best combo was the Wahoo and Pitt Hopkins Pale Ale. I LOVED IT!! and yes I wanted more of it. With every bite, I could taste the love in every bite.

Zeal Modern Eatery stays busy. Even after the pairing event, plenty of, it seemed regulars, just hung out with Scott and other staff having a grand time. To be honest, I almost felt some type of way because at first I kind of felt ignored, but after a while the atmosphere seemed to have changed and I felt more at ease. I told one of my friends that I will have to make sure to come back with some of my friends and family to check out the wonderful tasting food and to share in some of the love I felt while eating it.
