Veggie Fries, the Healthier Fries

Veggie-Fries

Crispy,  lightly salted, and light are part of my description for the perfect fries, but the one characteristic I left out was lots. Lots and lots of delicious and tasty plate of carbs. There have been times in which I would just cook up some fries and grab a plate and some bbq sauce and sit in front of the tv and eat.

This week more than others have been crazy, so I did not have a lot of time to prepare something elaborate, but what came to mind was 1) we need something green and 2) something relatively quick to go with turkey burger.

Veggie fries are some of the best alternatives to the traditional potato fries. The flavor we had was broccoli and potato and if you like broccoli I can strongly recommend these.

Veggie Fries, the Healthier Fries

  • 27% Broccoli and White Beans
  • 2 Vegetable Servings
  • Excellent source of Vitamins C and K
  • Gluten Free
  • Very Low in Sodium (great for me since I am watching my salt intake)

Bake on 425 degrees for 16-20 minutes to the crispness that you desire. Flip halfway and make sure the fries do not touch each other so the fries have enough space in between to cook perfectly.

These are totally when I feel the need to have some carbs, which sometimes happens, I will be reaching for these great alternatives to feed my carb fix.

There are 3 more varieties: carrot, chickpea & red pepper and kale & tuscan herbs and check out the Store Locator to find some near you.
