Sunny Anderson Snack Stadium

Sunny Anderson Snack Stadium

Sunny-Anderson-Snack-Stadium

To be honest, I am not a big football fan, however I am a fan of the snacks, commercials and fellowship. This is a big anticipated Super Bowl this year since the Atlanta Falcons are in the playoffs and yes, because I live in Georgia now I will be rooting for the Falcons. I was given some coupons for Heluva Good products in exchange for a post/review. While enjoying the game, I will be looking forward to the great game day spread and thanks to Sunny Anderson I have something extra special to look forward to. I used to watch Sunny Anderson all the time when I had cable and she is fun, creative and adorable, so any recipe and/or food craft that comes from her has to be good.

Food Network star Sunny Anderson has teamed up with Heluva Good! Dips to create the ultimate snack stadium, which will score you a touchdown with your guests. For Sunny, creating the ultimate snack stadium begins with the having the ultimate dip, and she has created a special snack stadium using Heluva Good!—which offers an assortment of flavors that are each made with real sour cream and flavorful spices, including French Onion, Buttermilk Ranch, White Cheddar & Bacon and Bodacious Onion.

For your enjoyment, see below for a recipe from Sunny Anderson to make your own Snack Stadium, featuring Heluva Good dips:

Heluva Good! Super Easy Snack Stadium

Ingredients

  • 4 containers (12 oz.) of your favorite Heluva Good! Dip
  • 1 container ready-made guacamole
  • 2 10-inch flour or corn tortillas
  • Oil (to fry tortillas)
  • 4 blocks of your favorite cheese
  • Your favorite dippables
    • Recommended dippables include ridged potato chips, corn chips, pretzels, celery sticks, cherry tomatoes and sliced cucumbers.
  • 4 small “pigs in a blanket”

Supplies (readily available at any party store)

  • 1 square plastic catering tray (about 18”x18” & ideally with a clear top and black base)
  • 1 rectangular clear plastic tray (about 10”x14”)
  • 1 squeeze bottle (for the guacamole)
  • 4 festive football flags (optional)

Instructions

  1. Turn the plastic top of the catering tray upside down and place on top of the catering base tray for a secure base.
  2. To create the “field,” spread the Heluva Good! Dip evenly in the rectangular clear plastic tray.
  3. Place the guacamole in the squeeze bottle and create line markers on the “field.”
  4. At the ends of the dip, place a 2”x2” piece of cheese in the middle. This will create your “end-zones.” Cut a slit in the middle of the cheese.
  5. Cut out two goalpost shapes from the tortillas, about 4-6” high. One at a time, place in a shallow pan of hot oil and fry until golden. Flip and continue until the other side is golden. Drain on a paper towel and carefully stick into the slits cut into the cheese. Surround the rest of the “endzone” with cheese cubes.
  6. Place the “field” on top of two of the dip containers to raise it up slightly and place in the middle of the roasting pan.
  7. Now place your favorite dippables all around the “field” in sections to resemble the “stands.”
  8. Place four small pigs in a blanket at each corner of the “stadium.” Stick a festive football flag into each “pig.”
