Stress Relief Tips and Easy Silver Stars Cookies

As everyone knows, getting ready for a holiday can be stressful for everyone involved, so I wanted to share briefly what changes I have made this year to make it easier on me and maybe these tips will work for you as well.

1. Do not cook everything yourself. Potlucks are a busy persons best friend. Share the load do not take on the entire meal yourself.
2. Plan ahead. Everyone does not need to be seen on the one holiday. The important thing is being together when you can, so change up where you go each holiday and do not leave it to just holidays to go and visit someone.
3. Do not do what you do not have to do. It is a break or vacation for you as well and you deserve a break along with everyone else, so take one. If that means, pulling aside an hour for yourself away from the rest of the family then so be it.
4. Keep it simple. Meal prep when you can and if you cannot then make simple meals that basically watch themselves, ie. baked chicken or casserole, or utilizing our other trusty friend, the crock pot.
5. Enjoy yourself. Take time to laugh or have a drink or play a game. The holidays are about fun and family, not stress and strain.
6. Change the tradition. I am not a baker at all, but this year thanks to Walmart and Betty Crocker, much time has been saved by using their cookie mix pouches instead of taking hours slaving in the kitchen to make great tasting cookies.

As you can see, Walmart has plenty of Betty Crocker cookie pouch mixes to choose from and you will not be disappointed. I chose the simple sugar cookie, because who can go wrong with a sugar cookie.

 

I am not the most creative person, well it does depend, but let’s just say in the baking department I am not, but with Betty Crocker they make it so easy, so you have got to love #bakewithbetty. This is the easiest baking session that I have ever had.
