Stepping out of my comfort zone with Cents of Style

Stepping out of my comfort zone with Cents of Style (affiliate links are included in the post)

Choosing to step up my fashion game was and sometimes still is a challenge for me, because I love and I mean love black and most of my pieces are black or have some black in it. I like many women have so many black pairs of pants that come in various style and various material that I had to decide to step out of my comfort zone. Comfort zones are a safe place, but not necessarily the best place to stay. We all have to explore and do some different things that will bring spice to our lives.

Cents of Style send out a call and asked if some fashionistas wanted to take part in March’s Fashion Friday Story promotion and I stepped out and took a chance and said to myself why not try. If I am selected great and if not it is okay but there is no way to tell not trying so I did and guess what I was chosen.

I had recently stepped out of my comfort zone at work and went back to school on my employer’s dime to obtain a Professional Certification in Rehabilitation Services. It was not an easy task, but I took on the challenge and ended up with 5 As and 1 B. I was and I am still proud of myself for taking a chance which hopefully will pay off soon, so back to the tunic….

Tunic-cents-of-styleCents of Style has new styles for the Spring and the ones that I was able to chose from were: Hannah Keyhole Tunic and Staci V-Neck Babydoll Tunic which was hard to chose from due to both of them being so pretty, but I ended up choosing the Hannah Keyhole Tunic in Serenity Blue. Why you ask? Well it is part of my name and it is such a beautiful color.

I decided to pair up the tunic with some black leggings and black booties and I was a happy camper. Paired it with some of my favorite jewelry and there you are. These tunics go easily by themselves as a dress or with jeggings and sneakers.

Finished look:
