Themes in the episode

  • Competition over friendship / ego
  • The temptation to return to bad habits

Bible Verses mentioned in the episode

  • “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. – Ephesians 4:26-28
  • But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. – Matthew 5:44-45

Episode 4: Date Night Review

Certainly, some ego problems were seen in this episode, but the way Jacob just lets it roll off his back as Logan feels the need to prove himself. Jacob is on his mission to obtain forgiveness and help others with their forgiveness issues. It was nice to see Jacob assist Mike with his challenges and how even with Mike seemed not to be too interested Jacob just pressed on. Watching the episode, I feel for Jacob because of what Logan has up his sleeve. I want to sneak into the show and become an extra on the ranch so that I can tell him what is going on:)
