Why This Series Made Me Smile

My husband’s all-time favorite movie is the musical Grease, so musicals already have a special place in our home. For me, A Week Away: The Series instantly made me smile. It has the fun energy and catchy music I love in a musical, but it also offers so much more. It’s family-friendly, faith-filled, and full of both lighthearted fun and real, relatable struggles.

I appreciated how beautifully the show balanced tough topics with hope, showing that even in doubt and pain, there is a space for healing and belonging. It’s the kind of series I can sit down and watch with my entire family—and feel uplifted by the end.

Start watching for the infectious music and dance numbers, but stay for the moving faith-filled storytelling and Gospel-centered message. With a mix of familiar faces and impressive newcomers, the talent shines through in every scene. Honestly, faith-based entertainment has come such a long way, and this series is proof of that.
