4 Essential Tools For The Perfect Beard

4 Essential Tools For The Perfect Beard

This is a Sponsored post.

My husband is one to always want to keep his beard looking nice. When we first began dating, he used to have a longer beard but now a few years out of college and into the working world, he tends to keep it shorter and well kept. Beard grooming actually isn’t as expensive as you may think. My husband actually can achieve a good look with some pocket friendly products as well as the grooming tools and skills he’s mastered over the years. He actually gave me a few pointers and ideas on what type of products he loves using and the essential tools to keep his perfect beard in place day after day. Here are 4 basic tools he loves!

  1. Beard Shampoo – I actually didn’t even know that a beard shampoo existed until my husband came home and couldn’t stop raving about a few he found at the store. A good quality beard shampoo, as opposed to soap, will keep your beard nourished. Soap can lead to dryness and your the small hairs to fall out as it’s harsh on your skin. This specific shampoo works best when used with a conditioner as well. It may sound a bit extravagant but it’s worth it and only washing it once in two or three days will do the trick. On days that you don’t use a shampoo on your heard, you can always rinse it well for hygiene and use a towel to dry it out.                         Beard-Comb-4-essentialImage: Smoky Mountain

    2. Bristled Brush and Comb – Having a bristled brush and comb with narrow teeth on one side and wide on the other is essential to keeping your beard from getting knotted. It also helps keep your beard tame. Having a bristled brush and comb can actually help spread your beard nourishment products evenly when you apply them to your beard as well. Some of my husband’s favorite bristle brushes and combs are right here and here. The best part about the combs are that they are polished for a snag and static free experience for your beard!        Beard-4-essential Image: Smoky Mountain

    3. Beard Balm or Beard Oil – Having these products will help style the hairs on your beard and keep them in ‘control’ throughout your busy day. Some of my husbands favorite beard balms is the White Lightin’ Beard Balm. It has a clean, fresh, just-out-of-the-the-barbershop scent of Bay Rum. It has a premium blend of waxes, butters and oils to make your beard soft and manageable.

    4. Trimmer – A basic trimmer with a blade adjustment or a razor is also another great essential for keeping your beard looking perfect throughout the day. My husband enjoys trimmers that can be easily stores and packed away for long trips or when he needs to use it quickly.
