Products used: Cleanse Me (Co-wash), Love Me (5-in-1) and Moisturize Me (Curl and Style Milk).
After applying the Lottabody Coconut and Shine Oils Cleanse Me (Co-Wash) product, directions say to leave it in for about 3-5 minutes well I did not stick to that exactly (#cowashandchill). My hair needed extra love so I kept it in for about 20 minutes.
After rinsing, I used the 5-in-1 styling cream and applied to all sections, that I had twisted previously after detangling and applying the co-wash. I followed up with the Moisturize Me Curl and Style Milk and retwisted in medium twists (approximately 15) and let it air dry and I kept it twisted for 2 days and separated them 3-4 times and viola. My 4b hair is happy and so is my hair after not showing any love to it for 3 weeks. I promise hair, I will not do it again:)
One of the best twistouts ever!!! Much definition and shine. I absolutely love the results and will give the Lottabody Coconut and Shea Oil Line 10/10. A few days later and no retwisting, my hair is still soft and moisturized. This is truly a keeper and you should try it to especially if you have trouble with maintaining moisture in your natural hair. Soft and Shiny 4b Hair with Lottabody Coconut and Shea Oil Line was easily achieved.
Have you ever tried Lottabody Products? What has been your experience?
Harvested grapes can make such beautiful music in one’s glass and that is what we found at the Grape Harvest Celebration Party last weekend. An intimate gathering of people from various races, genders and experiences enjoying great wine, good farm to table pairings, and enlightening conversations.
This evening was a special treat for hubby and I because we’ve never been to a winery. This was a collaborated event with The Gifted Ferret, a beautiful shopping boutique and Big Door Vineyards, winery which is currently being built. We checked in and were given our own engraved wine glass that we took to each table to sample the various wines.
1st pairing: lemon marinated tortellini and Blanc de Bois
2nd pairing: carrot, honey and ginger soup cups and Bodegas Carrou Chardonnay de Reserva
3rd pairing: Spicy Poblano Pepper Pulled Pork and Lenoir
4th pairing: Beef Bouchees and Telteca Uma Coleccion Malbec
5th pairing: Handmade Grand Chocolate Truffles and Sangue Di Giuda (my favorite pairing)
We were treated like family and dear friends by the staff of both the Gifted Ferret and Big Door Vineyards and you will receive the same when you visit. Everyone was given the chance to receive a guided tour of the vineyard grounds and we jumped on it. We were given an extensive explanation of the operations and grape varietals grown onsite.
Ooops how could I forget the live entertainment, which included 2 great guitar players (male and female) that may look forward to performing in the amphitheater that will be at Big Door Vineyards. This venue is going to be a great place to have weddings, so if you have a wedding planned within the next year or so, please keep these businesses in mind for your event and/or wine needs.
Hello All. I have to admit, I had hoped to be better about documenting our Hale Fertility Journey, but to be honest with all of the changes that have occurred in our lives it has been a challenge to keep up with everything including posting. I wanted to surprise you all with a treat. Instead of coming to you with some sad story and lame background, I wanted to have hubby fill you in on our update. We went to beautiful Daytona Beach Florida to celebrate our 9 year anniversary and a ball we did have. He is totally an awesome guy and all who know him love him, so what we have done was to combine months and call it: Hale Fertility Journey Summer 2016 Edition.
This will catch us up to present date….
As you have heard, we are not pregnant yet, we are holding on to the Word of God and deciding to keep the faith in the God who can bring this to pass. Not much has changed as far as aid. The cost of infertility is expensive, so we have not changed much, we are still using the following products from Fairhaven Health,
Ovulation Test Strips is used for detecting LH levels which occurs before you ovulate
Prego Test Strips is used for early detection of pregnancy
Preseed is used as a sperm friendly lubricant
see original post here: From the Beginning and then adding in the more holistic approach by looking at food, diet and herbs and supplements from the recommendations of the doctors from Progressive Medical in Atlanta. Actually, I found out that I am allergic after months of waiting, that I am allergic to pineapples (one of my favorites), chocolate (another favorite) and eggs (no more omelettes) for me. What a bunch of hooohaaah. I am not that sensitive to gluten it seems, so that is a relief (because for those of you who are gluten free know how expensive it can be and downright hard at times to find restaurants that are truly gluten free).
With the detoxing that I have been doing since before the 4th of July, I managed to lose 15 pounds and that was by doing the following:
Those are the main 5 things I did to lose some much needed weight and you can too. I am not saying it was easy, but even thought the detox time is over, I will try to stay within the guidelines that I was given. I did feel better and hey it was an excuse to go shopping again:) Like hubby said, more fun and less focus on baby and the baby will come.
Stay tuned to more Hale Fertility Updates. Thank you for your time and God Bless.
For those of you that enjoy getting out and enjoying the Fall Season with changes of the leaves, cool breezes and everything Halloween, Freed Spirits, now playing at the Horizon Theatre in Atlanta is out now for your ghouling pleasure. It is a play by Daryl Lisa Fazio that takes place in Atlanta’s own, legendary Oakland Cemetery. You say cemetery any other day or time and I might run, but this one had me a bit intrigued. I love watching mysteries and comedies and you will find both in this play. It is showing until October 30th and it is one that you will want to see more than once.
There is a must see twist in this play and it is totally unexpected. That is why I love mysteries, you think that it is going in one direction, but then you blink your eye and you miss that a turn was made and left you behind.
I was able thanks to my hubby to snap some pictures with some of the staff which just helped make my night.
From the set design which stops you as you walk in the theatre, to the accuracy of the time period along with the clothing, you are going to be drawn in like we were, so hold on to your seat and be ready to take a ride to some of Atlanta’s past.
You can get your tickets ⇒: Horizon Theatre
September 23-October 30, 2016

Hubby and I decided after the play to take a little stroll in Little Five Points and enjoy some people watching. He has it down to a science, but not me. I feel strange just looking at all of the eclectic people and sounds all around in the area, but I must admit it is fun to just be in the atmosphere. We walked around some and we found a restaurant near the theatre. We ended up at Front Page News and as we entered we heard someone singing a Mary J Blige song and we had to stay. We enjoyed a drink special, well not really special, but a little discounted Bicardi Hurricane and that puppy was strong and good.
Great evening with a great guy, great play and good food. I am bound to be somewhere in Little Five Points and if you see me, please say hi:)
Until next time, thank you for reading and God bless.
Skydiving, snorkling with the fishes, deep sea fishing… We all have some type of list including the things we want to do in the future (near or far), so I decided to share my bucket list for Detroit in hopes that maybe you may want to do some of them yourself. Detroit has been given a bad rap and some honestly is true, however some of it is not and it should not scare you or deter you from visiting. There are plenty of wonderful attractions and great food for you to enjoy in Detroit. My father’s side of the family had a reunion in Detroit recently, so I figured while we were not enjoying family time as a group that I used that time to take in new sites and review old ones. We got around thanks to Driveshop and the review of the Mitsubishi Mirage here: Mitsubishi Mirage Review.
Check out Downtown especially on Fridays where you can find music, fun, ice skating in the winter and much more at Campus Martius. This was my first visit to Campus Martius and it was while lunch time where it seemed that everybody was out enjoying themselves surrounded by the sounds of great jazz music.
Detroit Riverwalk: this is just a glimpse of what we were able to see as we sailed along the Detroit River on the Detroit Princess Boat and walking along the Riverwalk you would be able to see this too.
Detroit is known for their coney islands and I miss them now that I live in Atlanta. There are not many, if any coney islands here so when we went back home (Detroit), we had to stop and get some good coney island food. These are the spots that people go to after a morning at the club so I have heard:) We stopped at one off of 8 mile near my mother-in-law’s house and I had to get a grilled chicken salad. See below:
Nightlife is another thing that Downtown Detroit is known for, but when I was there I did not frequent clubs or anything Downtown, but this was a celebration and another #haleadventure, so the hubster and I decided to hang out. We asked one of my cousins for a recommendation of jazz clubs and he gave me one that I had never heard of, Cliff Bells. We went on a Friday night and it was popping. Crowded and filled with loud jazz music and people having a good time. We were quickly given a table and sat down and enjoyed the music and sang along with the band.
A well known venue is the Fox Theatre where many stars have performed and continue to perform. Lots of events there and it is just as beautiful inside as it is on the outside.
Who does not like baseball? Well there are a few of us out there. Too me in person it is fun with all the drunk and very verbal visitors and fans around, but at home totally boring. Be sure to come during baseball season so you can see what I mean. Comerica Park will not disappoint. I have been there several times and the food oh my, I can just go for the food and drinks.

Thank you for visiting and sharing in my adventures back home in Detroit. See you next time with another Hale Adventure.

Traveling around in my automobile. Just in enjoying the sun and enjoying the feel. We truly did love this Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE that we drove while we were in the Motor City. It felt good to be back at home, the “D”!
Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE loves the Motor City
I am all about sedans. Sedans are my favorite type of car whether there are people using all of the doors or not. I just enjoy look and this Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE did not disappoint. There is enough room for 4 grown individuals and the vehicle is very roomy even for the driver.
Nothing but smiles after the moment we sat in the car. We were surprised at how sleek it was visibly, but how much larger it was on the inside.
This Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE took us all over the Motor City. We had to take pictures everywhere we went, but I could only show so many. We could not believe how much this vehicle cost. It is less than 15,000.00 for a sedan and miles per gallon alone is one reason to purchase, 35/42. Not many cars have those mpg and we barely had to put gas in the vehicle and we drove it all over the place for 4 days and not to mention having the air conditioning on the entire time. 90 plus temps, yes even in Michigan and we enjoyed that air every chance we could get. Fuel efficiency is the key here.
Ample truck room, which held 2 large suitcases and room for some boxes and we did not put the seat down.
Comes with a USB port which totally surprised me, so I could have charged some of my devices had I known about it ahead of time. Good for those who might need to work while in the car.
Display Audio with Smartphone link system and rear view camera system which I loved using. Wishing my current car had that feature instead of using the side mirrors that only show so much.
So easy to drive around the Mitsubishi Mirage and find parking spaces. It is compact so it will fit in those always easy to find spaces for smaller vehicles. The only bad side for me was that the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE was not that powerful upon pick-up with the air on and that is because of the smaller engine size, but for the type of car and price of car, I would still recommend it. This is great for a 1st time car buyer.
See video below showing more detail of the car:
Thank you for reading and viewing and see you again soon for another car review.
Georgia Peach Fashion Week #GPFW Recap
One of the hottest fashion weeks was held here in Atlanta in April 2016. This is the second year for the Georgia Peach Fashion Week #gpfw and each year it gets better and better. More designers and models, bigger venue, more press you could not beat it. Speaking of press, I was asked to be a part of media as God4bandme and I proudly as well as my husband/manager covered it to the best of our ability. We took lots and lots of pictures and were allowed to take behind the scenes footage (pictures and video below).
The awesome opportunity to be backstage as Lisa Hinnant, Hair and Make-up Coordinator for GPFW, took the time to allow me to interview her and she took us on a tour of the stage and seating area.
There was of course a red carpet filled with many celebrities many of which I have not heard of but certainly enjoyed meeting and taking pictures of and with, see a couple of them below, football player, WeTV stars, including Braxton Family Values divas:
Guess what you all? You can see the episode ⇓ that covered the GPFW and hubby and I are in the background if you take a close look. This clip is funny and it would not surprise me if you will be watching it over and over.
Several great designers were featured and some of their designs I have got to get my hands on. Oh did I mention that the show opened with The Georgia Ballet doing a beautiful performance and I tell you what, I need to get in better shape if I even think of doing similar moves:) They were really talented.

Waiting is the hardest part for me. Waiting to see what is on the other side of that door. Waiting to see if it is all going to be worth it sooner than later. I do not doubt so much if but it is when, but it has got to happen soon Father God. I do not know how much more we can take. Is this the month? Is this the month that I can finally say yes I am going to put in my leave of absence form to my manager?
