Everybody Needs A Big Green Egg Basics Class
I had the opportunity to attend the Big Green Egg Basics class in partnership with CulinaryLocal and learned quite a bit about the Big Green Egg and how it is really a piece of equipment that every one should have if they enjoy cooking. After attending a couple of classes at the Big Green Egg, I can see how one should probably take the Basics class first. There is a lot of instruction that goes on from: Breaking down the components of the Big Green Egg Assembly How to light Your Big Green Egg Bringing the Egg Up to Cooking Temperature Setting up to Cook Cooking on Your Big Green…

The Ballad of Klook and Vinette
Be warned!!! If you are not in love when you come see this play, you will be when you leave. This is such the love story that it put everything and I mean everything I have seen to shame. With the exception of some of the Words in the Song of Solomon, I have not heard anything so deep. I was in awe and that does not happen easily for me. I am a hard person to impress, but I was blown away with the words and depth of heart that the characters had for each other. From their first conversation involving carrot juice to Klook saying, “We are seventeen…

Big Green Egg Tailgating Fun
I was given the opportunity to attend Tailgating on the EGG class at Big Green Egg Culinary Center, in partnership with CulinaryLocal and had an awesome time and left so full. Chef Amanda and Taylor greeted me with a smile and welcomed me to the class. When you think of entertaining and cooking what do you usually think of? Ovens, stove top cooking and bbq grills, but it is time to expand your way of thinking when it comes to entertaining and cooking. I had a chance to learn it first hand by attending my first Big Green Egg class in Atlanta. Prior to attending the class, I had no…

Meaty Classes at Pine Street Market
I had the opportunity to attend the Whole Hog Class at Pine Street Market for free in partnership with Culinary Local in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I learned oh so much from Rusty #knowyourbutcher. #ad Warning: A cut up animal picture is below. If you do not like to see cut up animals, this class is definitely not for you. Â Have you always wondered where various parts of the pig come from? Have you wondered about the process of how bacon is made or pork butt? Did you know that the pork butt actually comes from the shoulder of the pig? I had no clue, but…

5 Reasons to Run to First Watch Cafe
I have received a meal free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. #ad Recently I was invited to First Watch to help promote a new coffee program that they have called Project Sunrise. More about that later, but I am so upset that prior to my visit I had not heard of First Watch and after tasting the food, I really could not understand why unless people were trying to keep the place to themselves. A hidden gem in Smyrna, GA (currently 7 total locations in Georgia), only serving breakfast, brunch and lunch and truly they do specialize in the three and they truly do not disappoint. My…

The Ballad of Klook and Vinette – Horizon Theatre
2017 Horizon Theatre had a great year of plays and 2018 will be no different. I laughed, cried and was in some intense thought leaving many of the plays. Great writers, production, set design and everything in between. See below how to get your season tickets. Coming this week to the Horizon Theatre, Klook is a drifter who’s tired of drifting. Vinette is on the run but she doesn’t know what’s chasing her. Together, they make a tentative stab at love and reach for hope until the past catches up to the future and smacks it in the face. Tough, tender, funny, poignant, The Ballad of Klook and Vinette will…

The Santaland Diaries – Horizon Theatre
I received complimentary tickets in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. #ad The Santaland Diaries – Horizon Theatre We can all use a laugh or two around this time of the year with all of the pressure and stress the holidays bring. I was so happy when I was given the chance to see the longest running play that they have, The Santaland Diaries now showing at the Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points in Atlanta. For 19 years this play has ran at the theatre and this year they have Topher Payne, playwright and screenwriter, to play Crumpet. Another hit with audiences, The Santaland Diaries takes place during…

Lovely New 2017 Fall Menu at Twelve Eighty
Thank you Woodruff Arts Center for sponsored me and a guest as a member of Atlanta Food & Lifestyle Blogger Society in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Downtown Atlanta has many many gems and Twelve Eighty is one of them. I have been to the High Museum which is part of the campus, but did not realize or had heard of Twelve Eighty prior to this event. Hubby and I were waiting for our work day to end so that we can get to the restaurant. You see, we used this as a date night, but on someone else’s dime. Best kind if you ask me:) Arriving about…

Buttermilk Sky Pies Remind Me of Grandma
(As a Dining Out Atlanta Passbook Ambassador, I received free samples in exchange for my honest and unbiased review of the product. #ad #affiliate) This is the season to eat more food including more delicious pies. All kinds of pies, sweet potato (no comment:)), dutch apple, buttermilk, pecan, coconut, etc. There are many great things that I have inherited from my mom, her looks (what can I say:)), her cooking abilities, with the exception of baking, I do not know what happened there, but she got it honestly from her mama. It must have skipped me because baking pies or even other sweets it is just not for me. I…

Sampling The World With Wine at Wahoo! Wines and Provisions
Sampling The World With Wine at Wahoo! Wines and Provisions If you are not able to make it to a winery, attending the Wine Tasting Saturdays at Wahoo! Wine and Provisions  from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm is the next best thing. You can get cheese, ice cream, wine, spices and more. The staff are so knowledgeable and this is a place where you will find the owner sharing and interacting with patrons. Hubby was my guest and we decided to stop here prior to doing some hard work on our side business. More about that another time, but yes we treated ourselves first and enjoyed our time at the Wine Tasting.…
